A pitcher's Drop Rating is the ability of their slowball to hit the gound when doing the Up+A pitch. The higher the rating, the more likely the ball will hit the plate (sinkerball). Mike Scott has the highest drop rating in the game with a 14, while his counterpart Nolan Ryan has a paltry 2 rating.
