The Knoblauch

This batting technique is another name for "cocking" the bat in RBI, usually referred to the Tettleton. First reported by JoeDirt, the Knoblauch is the term used by many Northeasterners. Chuck Knoblauch was seen using this somewhat unorthodox stance at the plate where he layed the bat on his shoulder having the end of the handle face the pitcher. The technique also goes by the name of the Tettleton in the Dee-Nee community.
