Jackson is considered one of the most feared hitters in all game, and is well known for his ability to get incredible lift on the ball. Jackson's RBI nickname is '''Potatoes''', coming from the powerful combination of him and California No. 3 hitter [[Wally Joyner]] (nicknamed "[[Meat]]").

Jackson is a Hall of Famer, ranking ninth all-time at the start of the [[2005]] baseball season with 563 home runs. He was the [[1973]] AL MVP with Oakland, and was a two-time World Series MVP (1973 and [[1977]]). On the downside, Jackson is the all-time strikeout king in baseball history (reflected in his poor [[contact]] rating in RBI Baseball).
