RBI Online League

BDawk on MROJ

MROJ tried to destroy the RBI Database. Never let him forget.

I started RBI Online League while at school one day when I searched for RBI on Yahoo and found Dee-Nee.com. Dee-Nee was probably the greatest "Sports Video Game" website I had ever seen, so I created a name on the Forums. I looked at everyone who inserted themselves in some thread that said something like Online Play Listings, and added them to my buddy list on AIM of the screenname I only use for RBI, PurpleCobrasRBI. After making a website base, I Im'd people wondering if they were interested in joining the league, and it led me to 4 members. My best friend, Joe Hicks, also joined the league on the first day, and was immediately dubbed the VP. The April League, ran as a trial, exhibition kind of thing, turned out to be mediocre, or maybe a step below mediocrity. Once the May league (first offical) started, I pretty much had everything under control. Teams were no longer over/underated, there was new positions such as 'Designated Felcher' and 'Cleveland Steamer Regulator' added, and some huge arguments were cleared up for the most part. Everyone started pooping back and forth forever, and a lot of things have been added to the league since it started, but I'm pretty sure the seasons to come should be very very consistent from what is going on now.

I am wildly unpopular on both dee-nee and in real life, but that's OK because I have had more sex than everyone else in the world, combined. Logically, that's impossible, but that's ok because I love drinking orange juice, as well as hard liquor with the cap still on the bottle!

ROL SignUps

If you would like to be a part of ROL's July, 2005 League, here is how you can sign up. Let me tell you right now, a Draft will be set up for this league, with about 255 players. It is set up pretty good that every team in the league will be pretty equal, since there is about 4 teams in the May league that are unbelievable in more than 1 way. Another thing, this draft isn't absolutely perfect for how good player are, but I can guarentee you it's pretty close. Joe and I took the liberty of taking players' attributes from MVP Baseball 2005 and creating formulas to convert those numbers to RBI attributes. Some changes have been made to some players, but none that would make it an advantage to anyone.
