A players '''batting average''' has absolutely nothing to do with ability in [[RBI]].  The average is purely a cosmetic field that literally has zero impact on a players ability to get on base.  The [[power]] and [[contact]] ratings are all that matters.  Don't think for a second that [[Wally Backman]]'s .320 average will do a damn thing to help him get on base over the .208 hitting [[Jim Lindeman]].
