The term bump is used on the forums to bring a thread back to the top of a board. People to this to bring attention to a thread that has fallen past the first page, thereby getting more reads. The most heavily bumped thread in the history of the boards is easily BOOYA!.
Sometimes humorous offshoot names are used to bump a thread, such as bumpst and Wumpst.
