Roger Clemens is the No. 1 pitcher for the Boston Red Sox and is without question one of the best pitchers in the game. He is helped by Boston's impressive batting order, but if he's on, "The Rocket" can give you a solid game. He has a tremendous fastball (second-best in the game) and above an above average curve and stamina. Getting maximum innings out of Clemens is crucial due to the severe suckiness of the rest of Boston's pitching line-up.

Misc. Information
- Known as one of the game's biggest headhunters, he knocked Mike Piazza unconscious with a fastball during an interleague game between the Yankees and the Mets in July 2000.
- Clemens and Piazza would have another famous run-in that year, during Game 1 of the 2000 World Series. On a foul ball that broke Piazza's bat, Clemens picked up the barrel of the bat (which had gone towards the mound) and hurled it at Piazza. Benches emptied, but no punches were thrown or ejections made.
- Was ejected in the second inning of a 1990 ALCS game against the Oakland A's by home plate umpire Terry Cooney for arguing balls and strikes. Clemens would later be suspended for the first five games of the 1991 season and fined $10,000
- Announced plans in January 2006 to open a themed restaurant in Houston
- Is currently contemplating retirement, returning to the Astros or joining yet another team
Hall of Shame Entires
- Was arrested with brother Gary in 1991 for assualting a police officer following a disturbance at a Houston nightclub
- After legend Hank Aaron said that pitchers should not be eligible for the MVP, Clemens responded: "I wish he were still playing. I'd probably crack his head open to show him how valuable I was."
