A players batting average has absolutely nothing to do with ability in RBI. The average is purely a cosmetic field that literally has zero impact on a players ability to get on base. The power and contact ratings are all that matters. Don't think for a second that Wally Backman's .320 average will do a damn thing to help him get on base over the .208 hitting Jim Lindeman.
