Frank Cashen was the general manager of the 1986 New York Mets, the very same team that is represented in the NES version of RBI Baseball. Because of his savvy front office moves, the Mets went from a laughing stock to the best team in baseball in Cashen's first 6 years. Though he doesn't get much credit for it, Cashen's shrewd trades and team management are what made the 1986 Mets possible.
